I am still figuring it out.

I know I haven't been online to very much. Having teenagers in the place isn't helping. And then there is the fact that I have been hanging out with real live people more often. I am not going to go into work...that is just a foul four letter word to me....lol.

So, this is why I haven't been in much lately. Haven't done anything creative, because everytime I try, I have a teen (and a girl one at that) jabbering away in my ear. Don't get me wrong, I love her, but I would like to be able to work in peace. Yeesh! LOL

Anyway, missed everyone. Found an interesting post in my site page, and am still trying to figure out what the heck happened in my absence and not sure if I want to.

Love you all!!!!!

Thanks for checking in.

I know it seems like a distraction, having a gabby teen in the house, but I have to tell you...it's kind of sad when they leave the nest for good and the place is all quiet and mortuary-like.  Enjoy every minute ya have with 'em.  They grow up fast.

I hate to admit it, but I'm kind of looking forward to grandchildren.

You're very lucky that you have local friends that are concerned.  Many of us know that when prolonged illness and/or disability strikes, one of the early things that happens is for friends, even longtime friends to withdraw or disappear.  As for me, thank God for my small family contacts and a couple of friends who really care.  The one thing though that I have discovered here at WC is that no matter how ill or disabled one is, they are accepted.  I truly appreciate the caring this community extends as I'm sure you do Immy.  But as you said, we must remain somewhat grounded.  We're happy you are back, it's always sad to see anyone leave even for a short while, so hang around kid, you always make us smile.

It's good to see you Immy.... all 5 foot bugger all of you

I've missed you around the threads and I'm jubilant that you've found your way in again.... seems the threat of blackmail if anybody considered locking the door behind you paid off.

Glad you are back Immy!!!   Next time, maybe yu could ask Ed, if it is ok to leave!!!

Next time, maybe yu could ask Ed, if it is ok to leave!!!

And he would have to take it to a panel...

Which would then have to vote if it merits a petition to the board...

The board would then have to consider if the petition contains enough signatories...

And if so, it would have to vote on the validity before taking it to the directors...

Who in turn would deliberate endlessly if they sign a bill to present to the forum legislature....

The legislature would then have to rewrite the bill to cornform with political speak before submitting it to Cabinet...

The Cabinet would then question if there are enough signatories to warrant passing the bill, thus referring it back to the legislature...

The legislature would then hand it on back down the line until it got back to Ed....

Ed would then, in his frustration, say: "Bugger going though all that again", and deny a leave of absence on the grounds of 'too much paperwork' and stuffing around.

What we can conclude from this is that it is better NOT to seek a leave of absence and just STAY.

Um, Immy, you're not supposed to be sitting on the radar... but on a chair in front of it, to keep an eye on who else is showing up on it.

Hope you put a cold pack on to minimise the bruising.

*Hint: the rather large blip at the bottom of your radar screen... that'd be me.  I am losing weight, tho*
